Summer 2012 Anime Wrap Up!

Its always sad when a season ends especially when it had good anime to watch. Without further delay I bring you my Summer 2012 Anime Wrap Up.

(Note that this includes all anime that I have watched in the Summer 2012 season, and not just the ones I picked and recommended)

Arcana Famiglia
Score: 7 out of 10

Arcana Famiglia was actually pretty good. At first I didn’t know if I was going to like it or not with “Reverse Harem” being one of its genres. Like other anime though I gave it a chance and it was rather enjoyable. All the characters in the anime were likeable and character progression was okay too. The reason for the score was mostly because of the ending of the series. Some may have found the ending to be fine, but I think it was a bit rushed and lacking that full feeling.

Binbougami ga!
Score: 10 out of 10

Binbougami ga!, even though I did not recommend to all, was one of the best from the Summer lineup. From start to finish it was fun to watch and the funny never ceased in any episode. Of course the anime has its serious elements to it too, but its action and hilarity were always fun and on point. Also it seems that we could see another season in the future due to what they said after the credits in the last episode. That would be nice =)

Campione!
Score: 9 out of 10

As you can see from the score I enjoyed Campione! Who doesn’t love randomly getting God-Slaying powers and becoming a Campione lol? My only gripe with Campione! is that I felt it could have been longer. With a story about our main character and his team fighting and slaying Gods, the possibilities seemed endless. I really hope they plan to come out with another season simply because they could expand on the story so much. I mean come on people. By the end of the anime he even has a freakin goddess on his side as well. Blah! (Flips table) (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻  As you can see, I want more Campione! lol

Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai
Score: 7 out of 10

While the story was okay, the fan-service was fun, all the girls were beautiful and it was funny, the thing that bothered me the most was the character relationship progression. There was fighting in the series against monsters as well, but the fights between the other shinigami were the best in my opinion. Anyway, back to character progression. By the end of the series it was shown that the 2 leading main characters loved each other, but their overall interaction between each other didn’t really change. This kinda bothered me and then the anime just kinda ended. It did however go out on a funny note and as a series was enjoyable. =)

Dog Days’ a.k.a. Dog Days 2
Score: 10 out of 10

Dog Days’ just as the first season was is one of those anime I can just watch and enjoy to the fullest because it was very relaxed and fun. Since its a second season I won’t say too much on it but everyone should give Dog Days a chance and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. At the end of this season it was hinted and pretty much said that there will be a season 3 in the future. I can’t wait =^_^=

Ebiten: Koritsu Ebisugawa Koko Tenmonbu
Score: 6 out of 10

Ebiten is not for everyone lol. This series was honestly pretty random, but funny and enjoyable as well. When I first started watching Ebiten I had no idea what I was getting myself into. All I knew was that it was made by the same people who created Setokai no Ichizon, one of my favorites, and I was excited because of this. Little did I know of the randomness that awaited me. I watched it all the way through though and the series ended with me giving it a smile =)

Hagure Yuusha no Estetica
Score: 9 out of 10

Ah Hagure, its sad to see you go. I thoroughly enjoyed this series with all of its action, fighting funny moments, and sexy fan-service. I liked all the characters as well. Well, most of them lol. Why an 8 you ask? The last fight in the series was a little short and seemed kinda simple. He was indeed strong, but it just didn’t have enough umph to it lol. I believe we will be seeing another season of Hagure because of the ending of the series. Only time will tell for this good anime. I wants more now! >_< lol

Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita
Score: 8 out of 10

Let me start off by saying that I loved the main character in this series. I think it’s because we were similar in many ways. Her attitude, thoughts, and how she handled of all the random situations in the series was just too funny. This anime was very funny without even doing much. There is indeed a lot of dialogue in Jinrui and at sometimes could be a little confusing so that the reason for the score on this one. Some may have found this series to be boring but I loved it. Its plot and characters were very unique and I’m glad I gave it a chance and watched it. Perhaps we will see more of it in the future, but I’m not too sure on that lol. Also, that dance lol. You will know what I mean if you watch the Opening to the series =^_^=

Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate
Score: 10 out of 10

Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate or Chocolate for short is one of my favorites this year. From the very first episode I liked it and was very happy with this series. At first form the description of the anime I thought it was going to be like your regular school-life anime, but I was wrong. Chocolate was much more than that. The plot and overall emotion of the anime was pretty deep. The series was very funny as well. I loved all the characters in series and hope that there will be more Chocolate in the future. Perhaps a season or series following up on our characters after the events of this season. Everyone loves chocolate right, and this type of chocolate is no exception either. =^_^=

Kokoro Connect
Score: 8 out of 10

Kokoro Connect has not officially ended yet. There are actually 17 episodes in the series but the last 4 will be bundled with a Blu-ray volume release in the fall. I will still add this to the wrap up though simply because I don’t feel like waiting and they did sorta-kinda end the series for the moment lol

I was interested in Kokoro Connect from the very start when I read its synopsis. As you can tell by my score that the anime was good. The plot of this series was unique and well thought out, and had a lot of suspense to it because you weren’t sure what was going to happen next. While I know the series hasn’t officially ended I didn’t really like what was said by one of the characters at the end of episode 13, and Kokoro looses points because of that. After all that’s happened during the series so far it was kinda annoying to hear her say that, and will most likely be a major plot point in the remaining episodes. Let’s just hope I’m wrong and the series ends satisfyingly.

Oda Nobunaga no Yabou
Score: 10 out of 10

I loved this anime. An official favorite for sure. If you’re looking for aciton, adventure, comedy, beautiful women and cute lollies, and love the Sengoku era then this is the anime for you. All of the characters were likeable in the series (except for a few bad guys), and the story was very good indeed. I don’t even think that there is much more I can say on this except give it a try and watch it yourself. I can’t be sure but because of the very end of the last episode it looks like we may be seeing more of Nobuna and her crew later in the future. That is something that I will always be excitingly waiting for. =^_^=

Rinne no Lagrange 2
Score: 9 out of 10

Rinne no Lagrange was great from start to finish. I recommend watching the first season before diving into the second so you have a better understanding of whats going on. Lagrange is a grand series full of wonderful music, visuals, emotion, and every character was likeable. The reason for the 9 was because of one thing in the series that I would’ve changed or made happen, but it was still indeed a fun, amazing anime. I’m not sure if we will be seeing anymore Lagrange in the future, but I just want to let everyone know that it would be welcomed. =^_^=

Who Is Imouto?
Score: 8 out of 10

This was a nice anime to watch. Imouto means sister for those who didn’t know, and the anime was just that. About finding out the true identity of the sister. I had fun watching this, and the anime did a very good job of hiding who she was. There was only 1 thing I did not like about this that happened in the last episode, which was actually a big deal if you ask me lol, but if you’re looking for a nice light hearted mystery, then this is for you.

Yuru Yuri 2
Score: 10 out of 10

Our yuri girls came back for a wonderful second season. The humor was even better than the first season was and hopefully there will be more seasons to come. This was a series that I was sad to see end. Yuru Yuri is one of those anime that you can just sit back and watch anytime no matter what mood you’re in and have fun with it, but you will only know if sit back and watch it for yourself. Enjoy =^_^=

Feel free to tell me what you all think of anything. The scores are based on the anime themselves and not compared to anything else but that. That wraps up pretty much everything for the Summer 2012 Anime Season which was a very good season in my opinion. As far as wrap ups go, I will see you all at the end of the Fall 2012 Anime Season. =)

What Do You Mean No Anime Of The Week Last Week!?

As you know I usually do my Anime Of The Week post every week, but last week I did not. Not because I totally forgot about it or anything but because the Summer 2012 anime season is coming to an end and some anime have indeed already ended.

I plan to come out with a nice long Anime Of The Week post highlighting the anime of the season that did end, and how they ended. Like weather or not they ended satisfyingly or not. A happy or sad ending and satisfying or not are two different things, and I’m not really trying to spoil anything so I won’t say weather they or weren’t lol. Good or bad, an ending can still be satisfying.

Welp, that’s about all for this post, but I will definitely be posting more soon. Now that classes have started up again I’m even busier than before on Mondays – Wednesdays,  not to mention the work that comes with the classes as well, but that doesn’t mean I’ll stop posting or anything. Posts will just be spread out more a little is all lol.

I’ve lost like half my week! >_< (Cries) lol.
